Adding more clarification, in case it is not fully understood. It would be HUGELY helpful and time saving is you could post the datapage you are working on in the BRIDGE to the same location as the deployed page. PREVIEW button, when editing a datapage, appears to save the datapage in a temporary location in the database. It could help everyone if either the FINISH page did NOT close the edited datapage and then add a "CLOSE" button to the very end of options. Or, a button that saves the currently open and edited datapage in the BRIDGE to the same location as the deployed. I have one screen open with the BRIDGE and the page I'm editing. The other monitor has the LIVE website. I need to be able to make a small change in the BRIDGE and then immediately view the deployed datapage changes in the live site. The PREVIEW is not capable of showing what the final deploy page looks like. It has to be deployed. Big waste of time having to FINISH a datapage in the BRIDGE edit mode just to see how it looks in the deployed page and then have to reload the datapage in the Bridge to edit it again, and again.

Just so you know....this solution is not answering the problem I was trying to state. I'm referring to the AJAX posting of datapages IN THE CASPIO BRIDGE when an admin is editing the datapage that is deployed. I want to be able to post small edits and changes using ajax and NOT HAVING TO CLICK "FINISHED" on the datapage. I want to stay where I'm at, be able to see the edited datapage in the live site with live data AS IF I have clicked on "FINISH", but not exiting and going back to the list of datapage in the bridge. Every small edit forces a complete reload of the datapage in the BRIDGE for editing it. Preview DOES NOT provide an accurate view of how the page looks or function in the site with live data.

Just to followup, it is nice to have the Preview, but the preview is not embedded in my page with other CSS and fitting in the context of my site. I need the preview to be in my site. Having to FINISH a datapage you are working on, then see it in the site context, and then reopen the datapage all over again and get to where you left off is very burdensome. a FINISH AND STAY HERE button is what is needed or SAVE BUT DON'T EXIT. Bascially, your Preview button but make it real and live in posting the page.

YES....there is no other confirmation within Caspio for emails that are sent out without sending a copy to your own admin address. Having a BCC allows us to have record of what when out and when. REALLY don't want or need a whole table for recording each and every email and notification....just a quick copy sent BCC

So how many votes does something need to get before it is being engineered and put in the Caspio roadmap? Just curious.

This would solve my problem right now. As it is, I will have to split a table, create multiple Datapages, have a more complicated form and process....all because I can't create a new field and have it be the calculation from a view. :( When I'm asked why I did it that way, the answer will be because of this limitation

This should be expanded to make the whole DataPage creation to be dynamically adjusted pages. I realize that iFrames are set when loaded, but even have a dynamic load get the window dimensions and adjust to fit (it the user wants) is better than working in a frame designed for 980px wide. Who has a monitor that small anymore?

I would go for a dynamic loading in a DIV and #1 to avoid having to use iFrame and allow for dynamic changing of size. It is really a pain when cross-domain loading of Caspio restricts just about everything for iFrames, and you have reload jquery for each iframe, and, and, and....$('div').load()....then Caspio reloads and not the whole page

This is exactly my problem that I have been trying to find a workaround for. Alternately, I was trying to create a view that would give me a separate line for each date field and then try to recombine into a single calculated date field, but alas, the calendar report won't let you use a calculated field as the date field for the report :( There is no way around this other than disconnected calendar reports. Makes the calendar really only good for meetings or appointments and nothing else. Alternately, if we could have calculated fields created in the view, this could fix it or use calculated field in the report could provide a way....not elegant, but at least a way'
