Option to create Formulas inside Views.
For example:
I have Users and Roles tables. One to may relationship from Roles to Users but I would like to have a dropdown that reads Username (Role) but that is not possible unless we could have the ability to create Formulas in our views.I think this will increase usability a lot.

Revision history
It would be great if it was possible to have a revision history for a given datafield together with a date and user stamp

Pre-populating the labels from an Excel import
When I import a table from Excel, the first row is generally the field names. I should be able to tell Caspio that the cells in the second row are the field labels.

Ability to mark fields required when creating data tables (Same as NULL and NOT NULL at MS SQLServer Level)
The front end has the ability to mark fields required from data page. Need the same at the table level. If the field is a required field at the table level should automatically be required in the data page.

Lock fields instead of entire tables when custom programming uses a table.
Currently, if professional service does any custom work (i.e. triggered action, etc) the entire table is locked and the user cannot do any further development using that table (i.e. cannot add fields, etc.). This causes users to have to submit tickets just to have a new field added. That can take from hours to days to get done through that process. This directly contradicts the use-case for Caspio which should allow users to develop their own apps.

Editable e-mail fields for scheduled task exports
If I set up a scheduled task to e-mail a table or view, I have no way to edit the From, Subject, or Body fields. So I can't distinguish between different reports when they arrive in my inbox, and I can't provide instructions to the recipients about what to do with the attached files.

Pivot Tables Details and Sorting
The new Pivot Table feature to view details is helpful, but when the details have thousands of records, it beats the purpose of a Pivot Table.
Pivot Table Details should be able to be summarized just like it's parent pivot table so when we want to see details, we can see a few hundred rows rather than be stuck with the whole data table results.

Add a SUM field as a data type to perform cross-table tabulation
I chose Caspio over a newer competitor of Caspio because I could have a LITTLE more latitude using Caspio....however, I nearly went with the competitor because they had a SUM field option, that I could set up in a separate table and sum amounts in another table based on criteria determined in my current table.

Allow vertical size of tables to be smaller
Allow the table sizes in the relationship view to be smaller. Right now there is a limit on how short you can make the box and that makes it more difficult to see all the relationship connections. It would be nice if small tables didn't use up as much vertical real estate in the ERD.

Allow Views to be arranged/organized into Folders of View. This should be a simple fix.

Union Views/Queries
It would be valuable to be able to use a union query to combine multiple queries into a single result. For example, suppose your database has two unrelated tables where one stores customer data and another stores data about suppliers – and both tables have a contact information field. You’d like to see the contact information from both tables in one view. We cannot do this today in Capsio like we can in SQL Server or even MS Access. Apply SQL 'AND' clause when creating a view
This would be helpful for restricting tables before doing the join when creating a view. A possible workaround would be giving the option to link a view with a view. This is very valuable for historical type tables.
For example:
I have 2 tables, I need to filter table 1 before joining with table 2.
Customer table:

Password protected table from deletion that can maximize security
I would like to see if the table that can be protected from deletion without putting passcode or password of the author or admin for maximum table security. Because if the table deleted all things are gone.

Download link on [TABLES> NEW >TABLE DESIGN tab] to download the table design into a csv or other file.
Currently you have a link on the Datasheet tab to download the table to a file. It would be nice and efficient for a DOWNLOAD link on [Tables>New>TABLE DESIGN tab]
to download the TABLE DESIGN into a XLS, CSV or other file.4 votes -
Move up/move down arrows on join page in view setup
Currently when setting up views, the order of the table joins cannot be altered. When a modification has to be made to the joins in a certain order, all joins below the one to be modified or added must be deleted and re-added.

Move Up / Move Down option in Tables datasheet view
There needs to be a Move Up / Move Down option in Tables datasheet view. I created a lookup table called in from a Form field multiple choice. The only sort options are alphabetical. Tech support said thats my only option except delete all the table datasheet entries and redo them in the order you want. Not ideal if I have 50 entries and/or add to it occasionally. With each new option I have to rebuild the table? An Insert Here or Move Up/Down option would be fantastic here.

Ability to put apps into a development mode such that you can test without deploying
I have installed the Contact Log ready-made app to investigate how the logging panel works.
However in order to do so, and this would apply in a lot of cases - not just the ready-made apps but your own app, you need to deploy it to a web server in order to test it since it uses passed parameters between the various view panels.
This makes it difficult for non-technical people to develop such apps.
A 'development' mode interface where the views do not need to be deployed in order to test them out would be handy especially since preview…3 votes
